Google Celebrates Children’s Day India with a Special Doodle. Google Childrens’ Day special doodle 2011 with musical instruments designed by 7 year old Indian student Varsha Gupta. Based up on the theme ‘India’s gift to the world’ Varsha’s design was selected from around 1.5 lakh entries.

As we all know that Google cellebrates special occasions and special days with a customized homepage Doodles. A weeks ago on 7th November Google Celebrated Marie Curie’s 144th birthday with a Doodle. India’s Children’s Day is celebrated on November 14, the birthday of India’s first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.
Doodle 4 Google India’s winning entry went live Today on Google’s homepage, to celebrate Children’s Day in the country. The winning Google Doodle to grace Google’s homepage was from child artist – 7 yr old Varsha Gupta from Noida, India.
Music Instruments like Tabla, Sarod, Veena and Shehnai which India had introduced to the world is featured in the Google Doodle. The judging panel had worked out hard to pick Varsha’s design to be adorned on Google’s Children’s Day special doogle. Varsha wins a technology starter package, a laptop and a year’s free internet connection while Rs 2 lakh as technology grand would be provided to the school.
