As per the Samsung’s official words, the Samsung Galaxy S4 would be unveiled at the next Mobile World Congress – held in Barcelona in February 2013. As per the reports by The Korea Times, Samsung will be showcasing its new flagship device in February 2013, which will be Samsung Galaxy S4.
“Samsung is ready to unveil the next Galaxy smartphone, the Galaxy S4 at early next year’s mobile world congress (MWC) in the Spanish city of Barcelona,’’ said an official from the firm asking not to be identified, Sunday. The Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2013 will be held between 25 to 28 February.
What we will expect from the Samsung Galaxy S4? It is too early to talk about specs, but some punters are already speculating about a 5-inch screen and a new Exynos chip, a flexible screen – these screens are already marketed by Samsung, the 4G, a photo sensor 12 or 13 megapixels, a processor architecture based on A15, 4 GB RAM, etc.
Samsung is reportedly eying the Mobile World Congress for launch, so shipments could start in March 2013. This is just Nine months after the Samsung Galaxy S3 was presented, which seems to indicate a pretty aggressive product cycle. As we all know that Apple has announced an iPhone 5 recently but it’s really not a competitor to S3 as S3 is far better than iPhone 5. Also S III has been very successful, as it’s already outselling Apple’s iPhone 4S for the first time ever in August in the US. Samsung is also updating the Galaxy S3 to Jelly Bean in coming months, as the Android Jelly Bean updates are scheduled for October 2012.
I overhead a rumor that the European version of Samsung Galaxy S3 has more features/possibilities than the American version possibly caused by the Apple-Samsung tussle but am not sure.
Can someone please confirm to me if this is true as its critical for me to know this before ordering the phone online.
Coly, both versions have same features! You can order your phone now 🙂
I beg to differ Vishal, Coly is right. The Galaxy S3 sold in the US market is little low on specs, you can check any reputed site like GSM Arena and see for yourself 🙂
Though S3 is known to have a dual-core CPU elsewhere, in the US version you get a single-core CPU only, which is very disheartening for geeks. There are speculations that the chipset isn’t compatible with the radio specs in the US. No word from the manufacturers though.
Thanks Jyothis for correcting me, I just googled and found processor (dual vs quad) along with the RAM the only difference, so I suggest Coly to buy an International version of the S3 🙂
