Today LinkedIn announced the new LinkedIn profile design, which includes an updated profile page. And “it’s one of the biggest changes to a pillar product in LinkedIn’s history” said Jeff Weiner, LinkedIn CEO.
As per official LinkedIn blog :
We’re excited to share that we’ve just launched the next generation LinkedIn Profile, making it easier for our 175 million members to tell their professional stories, be found for opportunities, and build relationships through meaningful interactions.
The New LinkedIn Profile is more visual layout and used to simplify the user experience and make it more useful daily, said Deep Nishar, senior vice president of products and user experience at LinkedIn. “We want to ensure that LinkedIn is working for our members — even when they’re not online,” he said.
The New LinkedIn Profile Page redesign shows insights on companies and people on the network, which LinkedIn says makes easier establishing common ground with and connecting to people outside of one’s network. The company announced the New LinkedIn Profile Page design, which begins rolling out to users today, at a press conference today at its Mountain View, Calif., headquarters.
The updated New LinkedIn Profile is available immediately for English-language users, and will be rolled out for all users over the next few months.
