This is where Nexus 7 is on top. It includes a quad core Tegra 3, whereas the iPad Mini has the old A5 chip, which iPad 2 also possesses.
Storage
Nexus 7 is now available in 16 GB and 32 GB, which can be purchased at $200 and $250, while Apple’s iPad is far more expensive with 64 GB.
Wireless
Nexus is able to receive cellular information and it can be bought with mobile data off-contract. But there is a limitation is that it does not work with LTE, but only HSPA+ and 3G; whereas iPad Mini works with LTE, although you need to pay for it.
Battery
IPad mini can last up to 10 hours for video and Wi-Fi use, while Nexus can go be last for up to 10 hours web use or 9 hours video use.
Price
The 16GB Wi-Fi only iPad Mini costs $329, $429 for 32GB, and $529 for 64GB. For those with cellular capability, an additional $130 will have to be paid. The starting price of $200 is way cheaper than the iPad Mini’s 16GB Wi-Fi only model, which is a big advantage for Nexus 7.
