Gmail app for iOS which was launched last year was rather uninteresting. But now Google completely redesigned its Gmail app for iOS, releasing the Gmail 2.0 version to users through the App Store.
Gmail 2.0 is now available for iPhone and iPad which will give you you a faster, sleeker, and easier experience on iOS.
Here’s what you’ll find version 2.0 of Gmail for iPhone and iPad:
- A new design.
- Support for multiple Gmail accounts.
- The opportunity to respond to invitations on Google Calendar.
- Predictive search results as the user is typing.
- Infinite scrolling inbox.
- Integration with Google+ Social network
In my case, I like specifically 2 most interesting features are ability to add multiple Google accounts and responses to invitations from Google Calendar.
The iOS version of Gmail integrates Google+ gently. The photo of your Google+ profile is used as an image of your Gmail account. You can also add a reference to one comment and publications that appear on Google+. If you use both Gmail and an iOS device like the iPad or iPhone, this update you will enjoy much more than previous version of the Gmail.
If you use an Android device, I suggest you to download the Gmail 4.2 for Android which includes features like slide for archiving, viewing pictures and better zoom on messages and so on.
