Eye catching colors, remarkable graphics and groundbreaking video games gameplays are at the core of every video game created in the past 10 years.
Things have changed a lot since the 2000s in the gaming world, and we never thought we could live to see such groundbreaking open worlds. 2014 looks promising thus far, and although some games have not been released yet, we certainly have great expectations. If you’re an avid gamer hunting for some new experiences, the following video games are a must-play this year.
Titanfall
Developed by one of the co-founders of the famous Call of Duty, Titanfall features advanced combat techniques that gives players the freedom to fight their way as heavily armed Titan or elite assault Pilot.
The gameplay mixes dramatically charged moments with fast-paced multiplayer action to offer avid gamers an unforgettable online experience.
Destiny
As guardians of the last city on the planet, you’ll have to traverse the medieval ruins of the solar system (starting from Mars’s red dunes to the exotic wilderness of Venue) to battle with enemies and reclaims what’s rightfully yours.
Destiny is a story-driven video game, a saga that unfolds sweeping adventures and grand tales; it immerses gamers into a daring new world, packed with social activities, competitive actions, and first-person action adventures. From what we’ve seen so far, Destiny has great chances of becoming a hit this year.
Thief
In Thief you’ll be playing Garrett, a master crook whose skills are the sole things he can depend on. A revolution approaches and it’s up to him to rescue the city from the hands of the Baron’s Watch. If you don’t fight and you choose to stay on the side, the city will collapse and the streets will be packed with blood and crime.
Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare
We’re days away from the release of Garden Warfare, and we certainly have great hopes for the game. Featuring new characters with ingenious weapons, Plants vs. Zombies is a tower defense game developed by PopCap.
Dark Souls II
One of the most awaited games of the year, Dark Souls II promises to suck your time dry. Be ready to die as the game is truly groundbreaking; to win you might just have to put your gaming skills to the ultimate test.
Featuring a brand new hero, an unfamiliar world for gamers, and an original storyline, Dark Souls II will amaze players with epic battles, unforgettable adventures, and a revamped sever-based multi-player mode.
Infamous: Second Son
We cannot wait for this PlayStation 4 exclusive to be released this March. The action adventure game is set in an open world, and it centers its action on Delsin, a main character-player whose greatest power is a super chain wrapped around one of his arms. Second Son is the 3rd game of the Second Son series, so we can only hope it will be great.
Diablo III: Reaper of Souls
In spite of a rather icky price ($40), Reaper of Souls is in fact an expansion of Blizzard’s controversial game Diablo III. Players will experience a whole new act and lots of great changes in the game that will leave them speechless. We’ll just have to wait until March to see if it’s worth the price or not.
Let’s be positive and hope 2014 will be massive. From what we’ve seen so far, the games seem promising. They’re challenging, pioneering, and they promise to entice players with whole new gameplays, amazing characters, and engaging storylines.
